I don't know if there's anyone left alive in these here parts, but I'll try to get a message out there:

0kay, so, a certain someone wants to try Role-playing and they chose Atomic Highway as the entry game (after seeing my collection)
now I ve introduced people to rp before and experienced players to AH even, but this time -for whatever reason- I'm a bit nervous.

I don't want their first experience to be a negative one..

They want to play a kind of skulk that is a wasteland ninja and requested a solo game before the big one with the group.

So I need to figure out a story that showcases all the relevant rearing skills plus a few system standards (battle, possibly car chase etc)

Any ideas?

So far I'm thinking some kind of Post Apocalyptic heist mission or Raider Camp infiltration...

Keep the Wastes alive!

Life has a way of putting our projects to a stop, therefore, I've decided to send the raw, unedited version of  Twisted Armageddon: Flesh & Rust (the part that I have written at least) to anybody asking for it via email at pdubuc1975 at gmail.com (preventing unsolicited emails here).

Please note that there still might be typos and some grammatical nightmares In there ... Please be kind!

Have a great day!

Like most, I haven't been here in awhile, though I've still been running AH 1-shots off and on. I'd just like to say however that I am very excited about this Patrick. I'm looking forward to seeing what you've developed!

UPDATE: Twisted Armaggedon: Flesh N' Rust (The first part of what was meant to be the official Twisted Armaggedon) will be release as a free download within a week or two at worst. Please tell all your AH playing friends. The download link will appear on my new blog that will provide players and gamemasters with tips, tricks and advices on RPG in general and I will try to gather some neat material for AH as well.

Sorry ... so sorry for the late reply again ... Life has been a living hell in the last few years.

Regards,

IceMcFrost (Patrick)

The players haven't used it yet. (its only been two sessions since we started on the bartering rules)

I gave everything a "cost" so if the players get enough goods or caps together, and find someone who can do the job, they can upgrade.  Or if they got the skills they can scavenge and upgrade themselves.

I am doing what I previously mentioned with the addition of exchanging vehicles they find in the wastes for points.

How accurate the exchange is depends on their scavenging and persuade skill and greaser attitude towards them (standard bartering logic)
So:
if for instance you find a mustang that is worth 20points to make, you can haul that to town in a garage and get 20points worth of upgrades for your bike.

That sort of thing.

Obviously in-game, its not like that, a monetary trade takes place. But thats what goes on in meta-game terms

0kay so I havent still finalized this..

but I am thinking of creating a system where you use Barter Units (the metagame term me and the group ended up using) to create vehicle points
for upgrades. (Because extending character points seemed somewhat harsh)

Easy come, easy go like monetary units; as Psycko Sama would probably say  ;D
